PRESS RELEASE.
Remember: “From now on, this dictatorship regime will not rest in peace, until it liberates Equatorial Guinea.”
Dear people of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and lovers of DEMOCRACY in general; the National Freedom Party of Equatorial Guinea (NFP) in collaboration with the entire Guinean Democratic Opposition based in the United States of America, in Europe, among other parts of the world, schedules starting this year 2023, frequently attend meetings in Washington, D.C, among other politically strategic places to talk about topics such as: DEMOCRACY, FREEDOM, WELL-BEING, THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN AFRICAN SOCIETY, etc. for Africa in general and Equatorial Guinea in particular, we agreed with other organizations, many of them non-profit, at the U.S. – Africa Leaders Summit held in Washington, D.C last year 2022, from December 13 to 15.
We remind our people that, in 2022 the Guinean Opposition traveled to Washington, D.C. twice, from November 13 through 19, and we had important meetings with the authorities and NGOs from November 14 through 18, that is, from Monday to Friday, highlighting above all our Opposition to the fraudulent and unconstitutional elections of the longest serving dictator on the planet held on November 20, 2022.
In December 2022, we also attended “the U.S. – Africa Leaders Summit” held in Washington, D.C from 13 to 15, where the work of the Guinean Opposition was noted with positivism through our interventions.
At the beginning of this year 2023, we had planned to travel to Washington, D.C from January 30 through February 1 to attend a series of meetings that we were invited to discuss precisely the topics mentioned above, but we didn’t attend them for reasons beyond our control, especially with regard to the economy.
As all of you can imagine, these trips are very expensive, since we live in different States of the USA, and our colleagues who will be coming from Europe, among other parts, we would have to cover their expenses as well. Therefore, we come to ask for the collaboration of all Equatorial Guineans and expatriates who wish to see a free and democratic Equatorial Guinea.
