This non-governmental organization (NGO) received us in a majestic way, as in all the other meetings we attended during our week-long instance in the capital of the United States of America, Washington, D.C. from December 14 to 18. The meeting at the National Democratic Institute was on Friday, November 18, 2022, in which its members extended their hand to help us achieve the goal of democratization of our country with its democratic tools (first the country should be opened a little towards democracy and the National Democratic Institute, NDI would help consolidate it, the director affirmed).
Director Grant D. Godfrey made us understand that his organization works to open dictatorial countries to democracy and make it work properly, in fact they have the slogan: “Working for democracy, making democracy work.”
Mr. Ildefonso Abaga Angue, President of the PLN and its Secretary of Organization, Mr. Francisco Edu Aseko at the headquarters of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. Washington, D.C.
For those of you who are not familiar with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, we will tell you a little about it below:
The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is a U.S. political nongovernmental organization that, while nonpartisan and independent is associated with the U.S. Democratic Party. It was created in 1983 as part of the U.S. Congress’ National Democracy Support Program and receives federal fiscal funds channeled through the Agency for International Development.
Its primary function is the international promotion of development, democracy and human rights. Being linked to the Democratic Party, it also has a clearly progressive and liberal ideological tendency, like this party.
It works with civic, democratic and non-violent parties and social organizations. The Institute has more than 70 offices in Latin America, Asia, Africa and the former Soviet Union. Its headquarters is in Washington D.C. at 455 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, 8th floor. Washington, D.C 20001-2621

All the meetings were successful. Now we must wait for more meetings to be held and to implement or materialize the project of democratization of Equatorial Guinea with all the political actors of our country and the civil society and human rights defenders.
